There are many opportunities for extra-curricular activities including a full range of competitive sports with school teams challenging other schools in football, cricket, rugby, basketball, netball, volleyball, swimming, badminton and chess. Click here to download the PE Club timetable.
The Sports Academy offers specialist coaching for a range of sports not normally available through scholarships for those showing talent and commitment. We have a Stockwell Park Basketball Academy in collaboration with Greenhouse Basketball. Please click here to find out more.
The Drama Skills Academy provides additional training, scholarships, theatre visits, workshops and master classes as well as opportunities for public performances.
The Writing Academy helps pupils to learn about the media and to develop their journalistic skills. The Science and Technology Academy provides opportunities for more advanced scientific enquiry with many interesting educational visits and projects and the Film Academy gives pupils a chance to develop film-making skills to a professional standard. Art students are able to display and market their work on the Online Gallery and through periodic sales of jewellery.
All pupils take part in House activities including committees, assemblies, competitions, Sports Day, the Spelling Bee, the Business Fayre and trips out.
Pupils develop leadership skills through participation in the School Council, the Restorative Justice and Peer Mediation programmes, the Jack Petchey Award Scheme, the prefect scheme and by taking part in leadership focus groups.
